About General Products and Supply

The mission of General Products & Supply Inc. is to provide our customers with cost-efficient products, services and solutions in the Specialty Chemical, Lubrication and Lighting Industries.

The company was founded on July 1, 1977 by Gene P. Ciafre, the president and CEO. His philosophy in 1977, and still our philosophy to this day, is to supply our customers with the best possible products at the best possible price. Our headquarters is located in the Murrysville Business Park in Export, Pennsylvania.

Within General Products & Supply, Inc. there are four separate operating divisions: GMP - General Maintenance Products Chemical Solutions, EML - Engineered Maintenance Lubricants, ADENA - Water Treatment Services and LPS - Lighting Products and Solutions.

GMP focuses on specialty chemicals. The GMP brand of industrial building and equipment cleaning and maintenance chemicals is well established in the industrial, institutional and commercial markets. The GMP Jan/San line of cleaning and sanitizing products is well respected by our end-users.

EML provides high-quality greases and lubricants that are formulated for reduced equipment wear and energy savings. Our motto is “Engineered lubricants today… solving tomorrow’s maintenance problems.”

Adena Technologies provides comprehensive services for water chemistry of Boilers, Cooling Towers, Portable and Waste Water Systems. We have a Certified Water Technologist (CWT) on staff. Site visits for analysis and surveys are available.

LPS provides any type of lighting source that you may require. “If it lights, we carry it.” We can provide site visits for energy analysis, and complete the necessary paperwork for Energy Rebates from your Electrical Supplier. We are a CLEAResults Ally.
